General

Valhalla is a Starbase under the direct control of 12th Fleet that serves as the Fleet's Base of Operations. Designed by T'ruk Grax, construction of Valhalla began soon after the fleet’s formation. Specific features were a collaborative effort of the Engineering Division officers including: JJJH Schimdt;

’Station Layout'

Sections A, B and C – The Three Towers:

Standard tower features include:

  • Communications array
  • 3 multi target phaser arrays (type XII) 1,634,580 terawatts
  • 2 (type IV) quantum torpedo launchers
  • Ablative Hull Armor (121.92cm)
-Section A Fleet Admiral Tower-

This tower is highly classified, Security Clearance 9 and above is required for this information.

-Section B Exploration Division Tower-

This tower is the command center for the Exploration Division of the 12th Fleet.

-Section C Intelligence Division Tower-

This tower is the command center for the Intelligence Division of the 12th Fleet.

Section D– Docking ring:

Docking ring features include:
  • 60 dual phaser (type X) 1,190,476 Terawatts. (These are incorporated into the docking arms)
  • 63 Pulse fire photon torpedo launchers
  • Ablative Hull Armor (121.92cm)

Docking Ring houses the majority of the shuttle complement for the station (all but the Valkerie class fighters). Four of the six docking arms of the station are dedicated for certain divisions, these divisions are Medical, Engineering, Trade and Diplomacy. Dedicated, not exclusively, so that those divisions may operate at full efficiency as they have highest priority for docking. The docking arms are secured to the station but are actually part of the Stingray class support vessels.

The Stingray Class Vessel

These vessels are able to leave the station, taking the docking arm with it, to facilitate rendezvous with damaged ships who are too far away to be brought in with a tractor beam. They may also be used in a defensive capacity in a multi-vector assault formation. The individual vessels are not currently named vessels and are simply referred to as “Medical, Engineering, Trade, Diplomacy, Starboard and Port”

Sections E – The Trade Division:

Standard Saucer Section features include:

  • 16 rapid fire (typeIV) quantum torpedo launchers
  • Ablative Hull Armor (121.92cm)

Along with Trade Division offices, this section’s main function is for management of fleet resources. It boasts a 270,000 SCU (or 1.822 million cubic meters) cargo holding capacity. There are 5,000 specially secured cargo bays of 50 SCU each and 1,000 general cargo bays of 20 SCU. The general bays can be used for personal storage, temporary storage, and non-fleet affiliated storage. The 50 SCU bays are for official 12th fleet inventory and are regulated by the Trade and Supplies division.

Sections F – Engineering, Medical, Bio Engineering:

Standard Saucer Section features include:

  • 16 rapid fire (typeIV) quantum torpedo launchers
  • Ablative Hull Armor (121.92cm)
Engineering:

Responsible for keeping up with the latest and greatest of technologies, the Engineers of the 12th fleet work hard to put together useful devices and ship enhancements for the fleet. They are also responsible for the maintenance, upgrades, and overall functionality of the Valhalla Station.

Medical:

Dedicated turbo lifts and transporter pads exist between the medical bay and the dedicated medical docking arm. Several areas of this section are not regularly used and are kept available for emergency medical situations. Not limited just to administering treatments, the Medical division of the 12th fleet also has at their disposal a myriad of medical laboratories outfitted with equipment to facilitate expanding Star Fleets medical knowledge.

Bio Engineering:

A blend of Engineer and Medical officers work in the Bio Engineering area. They focus their efforts on Borg, Cybernetics, Bio-enhancements and the like in their highly classified laboratories. To date the most significant achievement of this group is the development of a small (and completely harmless) Tribble Borg Collective. They are in no way connected to the Borg, they simply are connected using Borg technology and were developed to help us understand the Hive mind. [A positive side effect of the nanites was that they effectively sterilized the Tribbles.]

Sections G – Habitation zone:

Standard Saucer Section features include:

  • 16 rapid fire (typeIV) quantum torpedo launchers
  • Ablative Hull Armor (121.92cm)

Though Valhalla’s location is not a prime retirement spot, it’s strong defenses make it a safe haven. The Habitation area is for visitors to the station such as diplomats, traders, and anyone willing to pass though our security and background check. 12th Fleet officers do not have quarters in this area, each division has crew quarters available in their division’s section. Apart from visitors to the station, the Habitation area is actually home to several families, some include extended family of the officers who serve with the 12th.

Diplomacy Division

Since this ring is where all ambassadors will stay during their visit, it also contains the offices and quarters for the Diplomacy division of the fleet. The diplomacy division has a lounge called “Top of the Hill Lounge” which looks over the river at the interior edge of the park (at the top of the hill in fact).

The Park

The park is circumscribes the habitation section, the ocean/beach front is 4 miles around and has 2 large lakes and several rivers and streams running through a forest ring. The forest has representative ecosystems from several Federation and non-Federation systems for the enjoyment and education of the inhabitants and visitors of Valhalla.

Sections H – Promenade:

Standard Saucer Section features include:

  • 16 rapid fire (typeIV) quantum torpedo launchers
  • Ablative Hull Armor (121.92cm)

Sections I – Tactical Division:

Tactical Section features include:

  • 12 dual Phaser (type X) 1,190,476 Terawatts
  • 16 rapid fire (type IV) quantum torpedo launchers
  • Ablative Hull Armor (121.92cm)
  • 6 Bay doors access for Valkerie Class Fighters
