Bridge Officers/Crew Roster

Purpose

To repair, supply and tug ships in distress. The USS Worker Bee has six complete hangers. It has (55) Custom Worker Bee's and (35) Custom Fighters. Although its ships are lightly armed, this support craft can increase hull repairs by 73.5%. Phaser and torpedo bays can be repaired 63.9% faster. This vessel is mainly used to aid and patrol shipping lanes. This vessel performs well when dealing with ship-to-ship combat and/or planetary assault. Fighters are the offensive backbone on the front lines. Fighters are designed to be broken down and repaired in combat situations. The Worker Bees increase longevity of starships, which is also vital on the front lines. This is a support class starship.

USS Worker Bee only accepts cadets starting in their 1st year of Starfleet academy. The reason is students need four years of Engineering to graduate. A letter of recommendation is required.

Cadets in their first and second year of Engineering are considered “Helpers”.

Cadets in their third and fourth year are “Mechanics”.

Cadets and Officers who graduate the four-year program are "Engineers".

Helpers: Roles is to assist Engineers and are first responders to assist in repairs of other ship that are in need. You will work hand-in-hand with mechanics.

Mechanics: Roles is to assist Engineers. Second, is preventive maintenance on USS Worker Bee. Third, you are squad leaders on away teams when ships need repairs. Helpers are to report to you. You are to report to the Officer in charge first.

Engineers: Operate and maintain USS Worker Bee.


Physical Description

It’s Primary Hull "Tetraburnium Two". Its Secondary Hull is "Duranium Three". The bridge is located on the top of the extended primary hull. There are (2)photon torpedo bays located for and aft. There are only (1) phaser cannon just above each hanger For/Port/Starboard/Aft/Under-belly. Between the forward photon tubes is the navigation deflector. Above the aft photon tubes is a huge cargo bay. The six hanger bays are located: (2) forward, aft, port, starboard and the sixth is located under the belly just under main engineering. A duel impulse unit is located on the rear to provide sub-light propulsion. For warp propulsion, it has two nacelles and pylons.

Bulkheads

Bulkheads are now adjustable. If the Project Committee needs to change the floor schematic for any reason the bulkheads can now be unlatched and moved. Requires 4 people to lift and remove each bulkhead panel. This will reduce the cost of repairs, labor, and the estimated time of completion.

Remember once locked in place only the Chief Engineer can unlock the bulkhead.


Grappler

Grappler: Due to the grappler, being aft, on the ship when deployed gives the USS Worker Bee the appearance of having a Stinger. The Grapplers strength is that it can penetrate through shields that are at 20% or < and can latch on to most serfaces. Its weakness is range and that the line can easily snap depending on how much metric ton it's trying to pull. When used at the right time, by latching on to an enemies Nacelle can cause it to spin out of control until thrusters regain stability. This gives you the upper hand for several seconds. Grapplers Tow Capacity: 4.41E+06 mt, Cable Strength: 4.42E+06 mt, Max Range: 3.57E+04 km.



Emergency Generator Warp Power System (EGS)

The Emergency Generator Warp Power System or EGS (for short); is not designed to make a Warp Field but to generate (1.22 E+8 W). The Project’s committee wanted to install state of the art generator. However, Chief Engineer Vazuras took a stand and demanded to recycle an older model. His reasons are as followed, “I want my students to understand that because it’s old doesn’t mean we simply toss it away”, “I want my students to adapt and over come many challenges and using a old warp core is perfect for that”. The USS Worker Bee installed a recycled warp core from an old NX-class starship. This generators main purpose is to supply power to the Multiphase Tractor Beam (MTB), Multi Power Transfer Beams (MPTB), Borg-Collective-Disabler Omni-Directional Emitter (BCD) and bypass Warp Power Transfer from the Generator instead of using the main warp core.

Multiphase tractor beam

The Multiphase Tractor Beam (MTB) is Specifically Designed for Tugging 3 Ships at one Time ((90Deg Angle Port (Ship 1)). (45Deg Angle AFT (Ship 2)). (0Deg Angle Starboard (Ship 3))). This was designed by: Geordi La Forge and Hannah Bates. See note: Multiphase Tractor Beam StarDate: 45470.1. By installing it's own generators for the tractor beam the ship does not need to use main warp power. It does have and automatic transfer switch installed in the event that there is a problem with the generator. Keeping in mind that if transfered this will consume a large portion of warp core power.

Multi Power Transfer Beams

The Multi Power Transfer Beam or MPTB (for short) can be used due to the installation of the (EGS) and the (MTB). You need both in order to supply emergency power to the ships that are in tow. Another advantage is we can supply power to 3 ships at one time. This uses the same Angle Design as the (MTB) above. The MPTB is perfect for support when ships are at it's weakest.

Borg-Collective-Disabler Omni-Directional Emitter


Because of the EGS system installed Starfleet Prdoject Commitee had decided to add Borg-Collective-Disabler Omni-Directional Emitter or (BCD) for short to main area's on the ship. These area's are Main Bridge, Engineering, Computer Cores, Nacelle's and all Weapon area's.






Special Features

Bumble Bee Swarm

This unique ability enables the computer to control the Worker Bee's and Fighters by remote access. While under the control of the main computer, it controls the flight path of each ship.

It creates a "Dyson Swarm" around the ship, which prevents phaser and photon torpedoes to hit the ship directly. However, ships that are impacted by phaser and photon torpedoes can be damage and destroyed. Pilots are responsible to let the Captain know what the status is on their ship at all times.

I am pleased to announce that we now have 10 Exocomp’s. The exocomp will now be used with Mechanics on away missions for ship repairs. The officer in charge will be required to keep account of them during roll call.








Internal Ship to Ship Power Transfer (S.T.S.)

The USS Worker Bee has 205 Fighters/Shuttles. Starfleet has installed on each Fighter/Shuttle with an output inverter that can be tied into the EGS System. This S.T.S. transfer can only have a total input power of 86% to ship systems. Every Fighter/Shuttle that is unable to transfer power there is a .41% Power Dip. Each Fighter/Shuttle engine output will be at 100% Max impulse during transfer. This transfer is tested for 3 hours max and 2.5 hours preferred. Please refer to Flow chart for output power drop over time after 3hrs. Remember that only the Chief Engineer has access to the By-Pass switch. This prevents the Generator and S.T.S transferring power causing it to arc and in turn blowing up both the Generator and Fighter/Shuttle. Pilots and Engineers are the only personnel authorized to tie in the Modular cable and transfer power from Fighters/Shuttles to Ship.

Saucer Section

!!! The Saucer section on the USS Worker Bee does not have any offensive armament, does not separate and cannot be used as a life raft  !!!

Warp Trail

The USS Worker Bee is the only ship in the fleet that has a golden warp signature. It's said to be an Engineering Secret. Ferengi think the ship has a "Pure Gold" Nacelles. Only the engineering staff knows and keeps it classified.

Zero Gravity Holodeck

With adding gravity generators to all access points around the room. Our Cadets engineered and USS Worker Bee with the first ship to field test the new model.
