Doctor McCannon has served the Federation and Starfleet for over 40 years. In his time in Starfleet, he has seen the onset & conclusion to the Dominion War, the disappearance & return home of the USS Voyager, the destruction of Romulus & Remus by the Hobus supernova, the breakdown & eventual onset of war with the Klingon Empire, and been present at the Vega Colony Borg Incursion. Through it all, he has served on 5 Starships from the Voyager upon it's return in 2378, to the original USS Cry Wolf in 2389 & it's successor in 2410. Personal History & Service Record
Thedore Lamar McCannon was born in 2343 on Jupiter Station. The son of a Starfleet scientist & Starfleet Medical Officer, it was no wonder Theo grew up with an intense affinity for the sciences. Although he could have entered Starfleet Academy anytime he wanted after his 17th birthday, he decided to remain on the station to finish a research project with his parents.
Academy
In 2371, when he was 28, he decided to finally join the Academy. He completed the required Starfleet training in 4 years, but decided to continue his education in the Medical field as well, which would add 2 more years to his curriculum. He graduated from the Academy in 2377, and was first posted back to Jupiter Station at his request. With the discovery of & communication with the USS Voyager in the Delta Quadrant, there was literally years of scientifc data & sensor readings to pour over, and Theo wanted to be one of the first scientists in the Federation to view it. Although there were more experienced reserachers, McCannon had the knowlege fresh out of the Academy.
USS Voyager
When the Voyager returned to the Alpha Quadrant in 2378, McCannon was among the team of engineers, researchers & scientists assigned to pour over the ship & examine the modifications made in the last 7 years. From it's altered Secondary Cargo Bay with Borg technology, to the Astrometric Labrotory, it's modified & dismanteled Slip-space Warp Core components, and even the condition of it's EMH, the Voyager Analytical Team had possibly months of work on thier hands. McCannon worked with Ensign made Lieutenant Harry Kim, & crewman Seven of Nine on the fabrication and technology involved in the Borg-enhanced Astrometrics lab. He also debriefed the Voyager Doctor, and was the first outside of the Voyager's crew to see the Doc's mobile emitter in actual useage.
